What is a Key Account?
When you choose to upgrade a company to a Key Account, Databook enriches the data for that company and makes premium content and services available on the Databook web app.
What premium content is available for Key Accounts?
Premium content is customized according to the needs of your organization. Please contact us via the in-app chat tool if you are unsure what premium content is available for your organization.
Examples of premium content for a Key Account include:
- Profiles of senior executives
- Strategic priorities
- Information about executive compensation and incentives
- Recommended buyers based on the target company's financial performance and strategic priorities
- Recommended solutions based on the target company's financial performance and strategic priorities
- Overview of a company's brands or product lines
- Investor relations presentations
- Enriched segment-level data, including industry-specific metrics
- Segment-level competitor groups
What premium services are available for Key Accounts?
The premium services available for a Key Account are customized according to your organization's priorities.
The services available can be viewed by clicking on the 'Request Services' button on any Company Overview page in the Databook web app. Please contact us via the in-app chat tool if you have questions about premium services.
Services may include:
- Instant on-demand downloads of an editable PowerPoint FactPack deck for the target company
- Whiteboarding call with a Databook expert, to build a point of view about the target company
How do I upgrade a company to a Key Account?
Search for the company you are interested in on the Databook web app and click on the 'Request Services' screen. Then choose 'Upgrade to a Key Account'.
I've chosen to upgrade a company to a Key Account. What happens next?
Once we receive your request to upgrade a company to a Key Account, the Databook data team will add and verify the premium content for your company. This process can take several days. We'll send you an email to let you know when your premium content and services are available for your Key Account.
Is there an extra cost for upgrading a company to a Key Account?
Depending on the agreement between your organization and Databook, you may have some credits to upgrade Key Accounts included in your subscription.
Key Accounts not included in your subscription are subject to a quarterly fee.
Please contact the Databook team using the in-app chat tool for more information about your subscription or the cost of upgrading additional Key Accounts.
I don't have any credits left in my subscription to request Key Account upgrades. Can I still request a company to be upgraded to a Key Account?
Yes, you can request that a company is upgraded to a Key Account as normal by searching for the company and clicking the 'Request Services' button. The Databook team will then contact your organization's administrator to ask for approval for this request. We will keep you updated by email about their decision.
Will Databook keep premium content for a Key Account up to date?
Databook will check the premium content for a Key Account every quarter and make updates as necessary.
What if I no longer need a company to be a Key Account?
If you are no longer interested in a company, you can remove that company as a Key Account. You will no longer be charged the Key Account fee for that company. There is a minimum term for a Key Account that will have been agreed between Databook and your organization.
Can I access premium content and services for a company chosen as a Key Account?
Yes. Databook will make Key Accounts chosen by one user at an organization available to all users at that organization.
