This document contains instructions on how to install the Databook Copilot for Sales extension. The document further assumes that Microsoft Copilot for Sales is already installed in M365.

Introduction
Welcome to the installation guide for Databook C4S (Copilot for Sales). This integration is designed to seamlessly bring Databook’s powerful, AI-driven sales insights directly into Microsoft Copilot for Sales, enhancing your team’s ability to engage decision-makers, drive better outcomes, and succeed at scale.
By setting up Databook C4S, your organization will be able to:
Enhance Decision-Making: With Databook insights integrated into emails and CRM workflows, your team can make smarter, always up-to-date, data-driven decisions in real time.
Increase Productivity: Simplified processes and rich insights empower sellers to focus on building relationships and closing deals, rather than on traditionally administrative tasks.
Streamline Workflows: Sellers can access key customer insights without switching between tools, saving time and reducing mental fatigue from frequent context-switching.
This guide will walk you through the steps to install Databook C4S, which includes two key components:
Databook C4S Power Platform Connector
Databook C4S AI Plugin
Most users will only need to install the Databook C4S AI Plugin, which is managed directly through Copilot Studio. The Power Platform Connector supports the functionality of the AI Plugin, and manual installation of the connector can be required for cases such as creating custom PowerAutomate Flows.
How to enable Databook C4S Plugin in Microsoft Copilot Studio (required)
Navigate to Copilot Studio: Open your browser and go to copilotstudio.microsoft.com.
View and Access Agents: On the left pane, click on Agents.
Select Copilot for Sales: From the list of agents, choose Copilot for Sales.
Open the Manage Tab: Go to the Manage tab within Copilot for Sales.
If you do not see the Manage tab, you might lack the necessary permissions. Please contact your tenant administrator, such that they can assign you a suitable role, e.g., AI Administrator

Enable Plugins: Click the Enable Plugins button.
Search for Databook C4S: In the plugins list, type Databook C4S in the search bar, and select it.
Enable the Plugin: Toggle the Enable plugin switch to Yes, and Entire organization as the scope.
Verify Plugin Activation: Wait a few seconds, then confirm that Databook C4S appears enabled.
How to setup Databook C4S permissions for CRM (required)
Please note that the Databook C4S Plugin requires its own set of CRM permissions.
I.e., the permissions previously granted to Copilot for Sales itself do not transfer to plugins.

How to install Databook C4S Power Platform Connector (optional)
Navigate to Power Automate: Open your web browser and go to Power Automate.
Access the "More" Submenu: In the left navigation pane, click on More to expand the submenu.
Select "Connections: From the expanded menu, select Connections to access connections page.
Initiate the Connection Creation: Click on the Create a connection button at the top of the page.
Search for Databook C4S: Use the search bar to look for Databook C4S, and click on it.
Start the Connector Installation: Click the Create button to begin the connector installation process.
Choose an Account: Select the account you want to use for the installation process.
Grant Permissions to the Connector: When prompted, approve the requested permissions.
Grant Permissions to the Integration API: When prompted, approve permissions for the Connector Integration API and remember to check the option to Consent on behalf of your organization.
Verify Installation: You should see the Databook C4S listed under Connections in Power Automate.
Troubleshooting
I have installed the Copilot for Sales Integrated App but can’t see it in Copilot Studio?
In some cases, the Copilot for Sales (C4S) Teams app may not be installed, even if the Outlook C4S app is. Since Copilot Studio requires the C4S Teams app to be installed for C4S to appear within the studio, please ensure that the C4S Teams app is properly installed and configured correctly inside Microsoft 365.
I have completed the required steps but still can not see Databook insights in Outlook?
Microsoft Copilot Studio utilizes a relatively generous caching period, which may result in a delay between enabling the plugin and seeing Databook insights appear. According to Microsoft, updates made in Copilot Studio typically take a few hours to reflect within the Copilot for Sales Integrated App. In our anecdotal experience, cache expiration times can vary, ranging anywhere from a few hours to up to a full day.
If the insights are still not visible after allowing up to 24 hours, we recommend returning to Copilot Studio and trying the following: disable the Databook C4S Plugin, then re-enable it, wait a couple hours for cache expiration. This can help refresh the connection and resolve any lingering issues.
I want to customize the Databook insights that show up in Outlook?
Looking ahead to FY2025, we anticipate introducing a self-serve functionality.
