Why use Intent

The Intent feature helps you understand management intent at your accounts and prospects. Intent searches millions of company documents to help you build a picture of what is important to a company's senior executives.

As Management Intent can search for your choice of keywords, it has many uses. For example, to understand:

  • Strategic priorities at a customer

  • Digital transformation investment priorities at a prospect

  • Competitor activity at one of your accounts

How to use Management Intent

  1. Search for a company

  2. Then choose Management Intent from the navigation bar

When Management Intent opens, it will load your pinned Intent Topic (shown by the pin symbol). A Topic is a collection of keywords, and Management Intent searches the company's documents for the keywords associated with the Intent Topic.

You can view the keywords associated with the Topic by clicking on the drop-down menu for that Topic:

Results for the search appear below:

Filters on the lefthand side allow you to filter by:

  • Document type

  • Include / don't include competitors

  • Timeframe

  • Topic keywords

You can also sort results by date or relevance.

Viewing source documents

Clicking on a search result will take you to the relevant page in the source document on the company's website.ย

Quick search

The quick search box towards the top right of the page allows you to quickly search for a keyword without having to create an Intent Topic.

Enhanced Search Results (beta)

If you are part of the beta program for the Enhanced Search Results feature, this filter will be turned on by default for each search.

The filter uses machine learning to improve the quality of results. You can switch the filter on or off for a particular search using the toggle.
