Overview

The Databook Sales Cloud app provides customer intelligence directly in the Opportunity view in Salesforce.

Databook insights are available in a component that looks like the example below. Your Salesforce admin can place it where it fits best in the Opportunity view layout.

Opportunity recommendation types

Recommendations are designed to increase the deal size and deal velocity of your opportunity.

  • Financial case for change: how can I align this opportunity with priority areas for the customer to improve its financial performance versus competitors?

  • Strategic priorities: how can I align this opportunity with the customer's strategic priorities?

  • Key developments: how can I react to recent events at the account, such as management changes or M&A activity, that could impact this opportunity?

  • Buying cycle: how can I align this opportunity with the customer's buying cycle, especially when they are making key decisions for next year's budget?

Opportunity recommendation options

We show up to four recommendations for an opportunity at any time. To see more recommendations, you can mark recommendations as read, mark them as complete or dismiss them.

  • Mark as read: this will send the recommendation to the bottom of the list and surface a new recommendation in its place

  • Mark as complete: this will archive the recommendation and show it as complete

  • Dismiss: this will archive the recommendation and show it as dismissed

Recommendations can be recovered from the archive by scrolling down to the History section and clicking 'Restore.'

Opportunity insights

Insights are also available on the Opportunity view. These present intelligence about the opportunity as Positives and Risks.

To see insights, please click on the 'Insights' tab.
